~~~ a daughter of a USPC employee.
When inspected by a dealer at a coin show I was offered $300; sold it, and the dealer resold it instantly for $325.
The dealer's remark was that he never saw a C&S that was as "new and unused" as this one, other than my Floridian 50s which were right out of the box and still wrapped in their coated, waxed craft paper, as how USPC boxed back then... and, from that moment onward, I always sold any new USPC chips for many times more than even a slightly used one; always... and I still demand much higher prices for my new and unused MOP and almost-new Ivories... Just sold a pearl found at a Netherlands show where there are only five known and sell for approx $500-$600, for $2,150, because it was "right out of the box" where it has been for well over 100 years.
Long story short; condition is very important...
