My weekend finds include Atkinson Splits and Simons Chocolate muffin bricks, and then, at the casinos, San Manuel $8 Year of the Rooster chips and Morongo 50¢ chips. Yesterday evening I discovered the source of old street paver bricks that have suddenly appeared at some brickyards: in building the light rail line down Crenshaw Boulevard to L A International Airport, contractors discovered the street was paved with thousands of bricks before being covered with asphalt. (They also found a mastodon bone down there.)
