The USPS *damaged* a Chip Letter I Mailed

Good Evening Folks

I'm failing to understand why I should pay for "Non-Machinable" on the letters I mail out with chips that I've sold.

"Damaged in Handling in the Postal Service" DAMAGED???!!! mad

Destroyed, Torn Asunder...

Looks like the Clerk Hand Cancelling this was having a bad day and tore it in half.
Or the extra 21 cents they charge for "Non-Machinable" envelopes with a Rigid object inside, is just window dressing, the charge for the janitor to pick it up off the floor when the machines rip it apart anyway.

I got back the half without the chip in it. The part of the invoice still inside had my info, but not the part with the Buyer's or chip sold info.

I sent out 10 envelopes like this last week...

Fortunately (?), only one chip sold for the price listed on the invoice. I've contacted the buyer. What are the chances he gets his half of the envelope with the chip still taped to his half of the invoice?

Oh Well, If this is the worst thing that happens to me this week, it won't have been too bad of a week, considering the myriad of possibilities in life.

Steve
