Don't know that your $8000 can be solved by this but I went to goodrx.com and cut my drug cost $560 to $270 using another local pharmacy. I didn't realize places like CVS were such a ripoff. One drug I had is not covered and the cheapest I could find it was $168 took coupon from goodrx.com and it is now $62 a month. I eventually went to express scripts which sends a three month supply. the $560 per month dropped to $415 for 3 months. I never dreamed a national pharmacy would jack prices so high. $560 down to $138. So on many common drugs the pharmacy is as much at fault as the drug company.

I'm sure that's not the case with your $8000 drug. But for anyone with prescriptions I highly recommend express scripts or at least goodrx.com
