First of all, thank you to those who adding comments supporting me, and how I have handled business with them in the past!
Second, my prices are probably higher than some of the auctions on eBay, but are very competitive with any other published pricing list that I know of. But I apprreciate the feedback.
Now on to "Steve's" comment. First of all I do scan the best tokens I have, since my site is used for sales, but also for many who come to use it as a reference. So, they should be seeing what a nice version of each token looks like. Contrary to what "Steve" says, I list a conditions for all tokens on my web site and, as in most cases, I have varying conditions that are priced acordingly. Here is the majority of our email strings concerning the transaction in question:
Steve: yes, the elks 1974 helldorado drink token and 1468 elks slot token
as for the others, i am a novice collector so just use your discretion in selecting year/condition.
i do like nice condition items but i like nice prices even better!
Dan's comment: Nice prices to me, said he wanted tokens in at least good condition, but didn't want to pay a lot. The total for the tokens order came to $100, and included 15-20 tokens.
Steve's email, once he received the token: hey dan, got the package, thank you, but the $5 president iowa token is beautiful in the scan on your site but the one i received is an ugly mess. also, i ordered a gold spike token and received a golden spike token, but i'll take the blame on that one. thanks, steve
My first response to him: The President token in the scan is the $12 very good shape token. Since you wanted nice prices where possible, I sent the one in good shape. The scans on my site are not usually the tokens you are buying, since often times I have several of the same tokens in a variety of conditions. If you want to return the token, we can work out a credit or a refund.
Steve's follow-up: how did you not charge me $12 for that? the lower prices based on condition were those tokens listed in varying conditions, only one price and one photo of the president token was listed on your site. my last order of three tokens was listed on your site for $26 and you charged me $30. i think that asking me to send more money is out of line, as i am only asking for the token shown on your site. thanks, steve
Dan's comment, the President token was on the site more than once, based on condition. Similar to this, which is directly off my site. The scan was on the Very good shape token.
Token conditions are explained on another page on my site: http://www.casino-tokens.com/Grading.htm
President Davenport 1991 GD Good shape Brass $5 Token $8.00
President Davenport 1991 GD Very good shape Brass $5 Token $12.00
..and Steve's final email: this explains what a failure as a human being you are. if you want to put forth this much effort to f*ck me for $4 than you need it much more than i. i am sorry i ever gave such an unintelligent, rinky-dink scam artist piece of garbage such as yourself any business. f*ck you
Having laid all of this out for all to see. You can make your own conclusions as to who you would rather do business with.
Dan Wickett
thanks again, steve
