I store different chip categories by different methods. The chips I am most interested in, I used the regular plastic pages in Saflips, that are are supposed to be "inert" and "contain no PVC or Oil," in a three ring loose-leaf binder.
Most of my chips are in the old-fashioned chip cases pictured below. I devised my own thick paper (or thin cardboard) index dividers to help arrange them. I went to a printing shop and had them make a die cut metal thing attached to a wood board to easily make the dividers. I forget the precise name for it;it looks something like this with a wood board attached:
I also glue some plain poker chips together to act as "bookends." I attached a plastic sheet to the inside top lid so the dividers would not stick to the sponge-like foam inside the lid.
The index dividers are 1-3/4 inch x 1-3/4 inch. The top of the cases (which used to cost $50 or less each) are 14 x 19-1/2 inches.
These cases of mine are a quick, easy, economical way to store/arrange many chips.
