I know he had a fine reputation, and for the most part, he seemed like a good guy. The elections, however, were not where he shined. In fact, I liked him in most other contexts. In the elections, he seemed to want to stir the pot, piss people off (which he did, enough to have an...unflattering chip made in his honor) and make statements which he did not and probably could not back up. He would not respond to questions, or explain what he wanted to do as VP. So, I think there might be a better and more appropriate way to honor him, which recognizes the good he did for the hobby.
