I found that opening a sapphire VISA provided with 50,000 points. Presto, free round trip flight to Vegas.

Actually I opened a Amex and VISA for both Teri and myself. A quick 200,000 points. I will be closing both Amex accounts as COSTCO only takes VISA.

I should be good for 6 rountrips (not sure but I think I can transfe Teri's points into my account)
