NCR Sally Yates

I haven't written a political post in I can't remember how long, but this Sally Yates story bugs me.

From what I've read, Yates was a pretty far left wing Obama appointee. I have no problem with that.

I think we can all assume that once Jeff Sessions gets appointed Yates would have been out of a job.

So, Trump signs an order that Yate philosophically disagrees with. She only has days left in office so does she do her duty and defend the EO? Although that is what she took an oath to do, jobs after leaving office might not be too plentiful.

Does she follow her conscience and do the right thing, i.e. quit! Well that's a better option surely for future employment/speaking engagements.

Finally the third option. Defy the order and force Trump to fire you. Now, according to Diane Feinstein, she has a spine of steel. Speaking engament prices have zoomed and who knows maybe a political future.

Does anyone see anything to admire in Sally Yates. Seems to me her decision was strictly financial. Not sure about a steel spine.
