John, what I had found when I did that a few years back was MGM took back ALL the chips ($25 and under) I had from ALL the strip casinos. They would not take any from Downtown or N. L.V. They said that there is a Uni bank (or something like that) where all chips go and get sorted if the chips are not theirs.
