If you have any doubt of legitimacy of an e-mail from a site like PayPal just use a separate browser window to log into the site and check your account. Then change you password.

I'm no security expert but an easy rule of thumb is:
Never click a link in an e-mail like that.

But don't call the number in the e-mail
The number in the email is the valid PayPal number

I get these twice a week. Ignore them.
Real Paypal emails will have you name in the email
