Unfortunately we have some Cuban chips on eBay which are fakes.
The first one is a chip from "Hotel Nacional" Cuba. Sorry Fred, I know you did not know.
This great and very elegant Hotel, still is, did not have a casino per se for most of its existence and by law this hotel, owned by the Government, could not have a casino as part of the Hotel. No chips therefore were ever issued bearing its name! In late 1950's a group of Lansky & Batista purchased the "Casino Nacional", the most elegant and famous of its time, dismantled it, sold most of its iconic pieces (sold the famous "Fountain" to the Tropicana Casino) and "leased (illegally)" a part of the Hotel to create the Wilbur Clark Casino. But again, the casino was never part of the hotel.. So, nice chip but Fake
This other group the seller gets it almost right!
The Casino Cardenas chips in MOP are all false. The non-MOP rectangular chip could be real if we assume that the chips from the so called Casino Cardenas are real; but, there is plenty of doubt that the chips from this casino are real!
But the one that is real is the one with the "3" on it. This is a very old chip and old Cubans had told me in the island that these chips were used for an old game called "Tresillo", but could not confirm that.
Here is the set:
