If you consider Club 90 and relate it to U.S. Hwy. 90, that was the main highway before the Interstate 10 system was built. Going from the Mississippi Gulf Coast into Louisiana the main route was U.S. 90 that crossed the marshy and disjointed towns along the way to New Orleans and points west. It was dubbed the "Old Spanish Trail" and was mainly a two-lane highway winding its way across the Bayou State. Could Club 90 been an illegal gambling joint along Louisiana's back-roads?
