As you know if you buy electronics accessories from China (such as cords), the shipping rates in that country are so low that they can manufacture, sell, and ship a product for less than an American company can ship alone. The minimum price for a package shipped in the USA is $2.60, yet the Chinese can sell a cord for $1 delivered.

I don't know how UPS rates work there, but postage is subsidized by the government in China to promote business, giving Chinese firms a substantial advantage in e-commerce.
