I went to Wally World a few months ago after my printer died to get a new printer. I knew I didn't want anything that said HP on it since they have the reputation of charging excessively for printer ink refills. They had two I was looking at when I realized that one was an Epson and that they made really good scanners - I have one and really liked it. So I bought it. A few weeks later it ran out of ink and I tried to refill the cartridge. Didn't work. I checked online and there were all sorts of stories about how there just was no way to refill one of these cartridges and get it to run. So I bought a new cartridge. The main problem is not that it runs out of ink but that they have a page counter built into it so even if there is still 50% of the ink left, once you hit that page count the cartridge stops working.
So the question is are there still printers that allow you to refill the cartridges? Which one would you recommend? I don't use my printer for anything fancy so do not need an expensive one just one where I can use up all of this extra ink I have laying around.
