My Dad went to Cuba back in the 1950's - two or three times. He told me a story about getting out of his hotel and a cab driver pulling up to the curb and telling him "Come on I take you to Loopy Lo's". Dad had no idea what he was talking about but got in the cab anyway. A few minutes later the cab pulled up in front of "Sloppy Joe's" and Dad finally realized what the cabbie was talking about.

Dad also took the tour at the Bicardi Rum factory. After the tour you got to taste as much rum as you wanted in all sorts of flavors - served over shaved ice. Dad's favorite was Banana Rum. He said he was really "plastered" when he got out of the Rum Tasting Room.
I wish I could have been on that "Adventure", but I was only 10 years old and had to be in school.
