David, I've heard this before.
Who gave us that legal advise? Did they have a conflict of interest to disclose?
We have third-party for-profit companies/people doing buying and selling at our conventions. Is that OK and legal?
Is it OK/legal for members of the Board of Directors to sell for personal gain at conventions? Is there
a double standard here?
If it breaks 501c3 rules for third party sales on our club board… it seems that the convention is a rule breaker too.
I'm not a 501c3 law expert… but I'm sure there is a good lawyer who could review our current procedures and non-profit law
and give us advise. Of course the BOD would not recommend an outsider going over or procedures because it is not in their
personal interest… and this is the main issue with why the club is in decline.
It would be great if the #1 place to go for casino chips was our club site.
