of what Scott G said. To me, he was stating a fact but one that may not be entirely true. Scott collects or assembles playable sets of chips...something that I would think only a few in this club do. But, we do have members that do the same thing along with other specific areas of collecting. And maybe that's an area that the could actually look into expanding. Andy Hughes has a really cool set of playable tournament chips that were left over from past Blackjack / Poker tournaments. Pretty cool & that might be something worth looking into. The Chip Talk board is made up of people whose collection interests run similar to Scott's.
This is a great club & has been the source of many of the nicest people and finest friends one could ever ask for. When I first joined, I sure did feel like an outsider...right up until the time that Greg Susong (who I considered King of the Hill of the chip collecting clique) warmly welcomed me. It's hard for those that don't attend the convention to really understand the camaraderie that exists between club members because you just can't get that feeling, that friendliness from a computer screen.
