As for Virginia Dare... She was the first English child born in
the British Colonies in the New World. She was born to English
parents Ananias Dare and Eleanor White and named after the
Virginia Colony. She was one of the 89 men, 17 women, and
11children of the Lost Colony that disappeared in 1587...
