I believe (and please correct me if I'm wrong) that this chip was issued just before Stephen and Elaine Wynn took control of the Desert Inn. Dennis Miller had already been booked to appear the week of or week after the D.I. closed, Obviously his appearance was cancelled at the last moment.

I have one interesting question for anyone who might know about how shows are done in Las Vegas, Did the D.I. still have to pay Dennis Miller even though his appearance was cancelled at the last moment, I assume YES because he had a signed contract.
