I'm very glad to see this topic carry some weight and has some merit. Seem to have stirred some activity on the board. I see now that it is a good idea, has been tried before and has costs. My original post thinking was a no cost scenario except for what we displayed or handed out. The Rio is a big place, have we tried to ask for a display for a few days outside the gift shop or other frequented area? We maybe could have a flyer rack in some of the Masquerade Village shops.
In my original post I mentioned the MOGH along with our club. How about this as a proposal to the Rio. The MOGH will display either temporary or permanent the history of the Rio over 25 years of gaming history, including the transformation of the World Series of Poker history at the Rio from the Horseshoe Downtown. In the display we would add that it was set up by the club and ask to come join us @ ... I suggest this idea after visiting the MOGH display at the Plaza two weeks ago along with my wife and family visiting from New Hampshire. Great job on the display guys! I liked it.
On the bad side of membership, I have to ask the people in the know ... How will the decline in membership of our club affect the MOGH chances of survival?
