I agree The Postman was uncomprehensible. My wife & I walked out on it as well.
The only other movie I remember walking out on was a French movie with Gerard de Pardieu. The ennui was too much to handle. Don't even remember the name.
A mixed vote from our household would be on the movie "One from the Heart" produced by Francis Ford Coppola & his Zoetrope studios. I really liked it, and have rented it SEVERAL times, just to see the stage-set Las Vegas created for the movie. My wife, on the other hand, leaves the room (or the house) and does something else when I watch it. The movie was so poorly received that it nearly brought down Zoetrope studios, so I guess I'm in the minority on liking it!
