It is funny, to me, how self-absorbed people can get. The views in this thread are half in jest and half serious. Reading these posts, you'd think the Hard Rock freebie non-value chips were made solely for the happiness of the CCGTCC members. Believe it or not, they were made as part of a business decision by the Hard Rock casino to spend money to purchase the chips and promote them to draw living and breathing people (chip collectors) into their casino so the souvenir collectors would gamble and lose money. If I ran the Hard Rock, I'd destroy the left over chips. They ran a promotion to get people into the place. If they gave them away to people who never went there this year, they would be defeating their purpose, and next year conventioneers might think "We won't bother to go there; after we go home, we can cry again and have them mail the chips to us!"
