most copy machines (early ones, and modern ones) are not digital. They are analog in that they project the document onto a drum that has a light-sensitive coating. The drum is then able to pick up toner based on the image it holds and transfer it to a piece of paper where it can be heat-fused into a permanent copy. There are a few manufacturers that don't use xerography these days but it's still a good technology. Photo-scanners these days do digitize the image but that's not really relevant.
The reason for my question was not to argue about digital and analog, but to see if the item offered contained a real Tax Stamp or if it was (somehow) a copy of a tax stamp. Given the very reasonable price, I suspect it's a copy of a tax stamp.
