Going back to Arizona Charlie's last night, and how could I miss the giant sign at Palace Station - it said "Come In For Your Commemorative Chip and New Card." So I came in. The cashier said, sorry, no new chips until June 30. I asked if they were going to be a very limited edition or if they'd be issued in quantity to be around for awhile, and she thought they would be at the tables for some time.

I then went to a blackjack table and bought 4 five dollar chips (not the new one) from a rather harried lady dealer, she just sort of tossed them at me. One of them happened to CG# 075807, the 2001 25th Anniversary. And that turned out to be a good clue. Palace Station opened in 1976 so my guess is the new chip will be a 40th Anniversary maybe with a ribbon design, fireworks or some such.

Now the only thing is for one of our stalwart locals to pay them a visit in a few days and get 'em!!
