Wow, I can't believe my auction received all these comments. Having said that, allow me to clear up my numerical grading system. My numerical system is an un-official system and is simple used to help the prospective bidder as to the condition of the chip. As one of the messages down the tread indicated, one cannot see the other side of the chip or the rim of the chip. Another reason for putting a numerical number on the condition is that it is very hard to get an accurate scan of a chip and display it on Ebay. In reference to the Boardwalk Regency second issue 5.00 chip that I rated a 95, that rating was given because one can not see in the scan that the cross hatching lines come all the way to the rim and the chip has a very square edge with no wear. If the chip didn't have that small nick I would rate it almost perfect, a 99. I have used my un-official rating system in the past and not one person whom I sold chips to ever returned a chip saying that I miss represented the condition of the chip using my un-official system.
Having read all these messages, I will not be using my un-official numerical system to help describe the condition of the chip. But if someone Emails me privately wanting to know the condition of the chip, they just might get a number.
