As noted in my earlier post, my being a Dealer at this year's Convention was very last minute and completely unexpected!
I had my first contact with the consignor back in January. We exchanged a few emails and meet once for me to see the collection. 5 months later, he contacted me just over a week ago, and said he wanted to do a consignment sale and that he wanted me to do it. I said great and anticipated offerings, TheChipBoard offerings and direct contact with other collectors after the Convention.
But Pam had a different suggest. She said why not sell at the Convention, when the collectors of the World will be present. Suddenly, I was a Dealer! I then made arrangements to visit the owner and I quick-scanned all of the books (24). Each page was scanned on one side only, as the purpose of the scanning was to establish a visual inventory, as a listing would take weeks!
I am presently without the collection in my hands but figured I would promote my sales offerings by posting some of the scans here. Since I have not had the opportunity to evaluate, catalog and otherwise "value" the individual chips (I've only seen 1 side of most of them) I am NOT in a position to determine asking prices at this time. However, buying and selling is a two-way street, but then viewers can only see 1 side of the merchandise as well.
Anyway, please do not ask for pricing, as I have not established it for any item. Once I have decided on a price, I will simultaneously email those that have expressed an interest. But aside from that, I hope to have the higher value chips priced in time for the Convention and the other chips in price-range bins, i.e., $5 each, 3 for $10, $10 each, 5 for $25, etc.
All of the scans here on TheChipBoard are reduced in size. If you would like to see the higher resolution scans, as well as all of the scans of the collection, then please ask me to add your email addy to the shared folder of the collection on Drop Box.
Lastly, the little round stickers at the lower right of each page are page numbers, not pricing.
Thank you,
Jim
