Latest reports say it was a murder-suicide at an office in the Engineering building.
Certainly a tragedy, but one that occurs over 1000 times per year in USA per statistics.

SWAT, etc. response at UCLA was appropriate, IMO, since the nature of the gunfire reports wasn't immediately known.
Sounds like the campus is back open and things getting back to normal.
