In 1976 they wouldn't let me onto the launch to go to the Manila Bay Casino because I had Adidas shoes on (they cost more than a weeks wages for the guy who refused me admittance). Also couldn't get into a Spanish casino a few years later because of tennis shoes - after a two hour bus ride up into some mountains - actually had already purchased the entrance card.
