I tend to agree with Westen on that token.
Ivories would have an easier time getting by eBay than anything KKK, IMO.

Rather than sell on the open market, maybe donate to a reputable historical museum (for research purposes, not for display) if there's one that would take it.
Then take a tax write-off for the value.
