.... Fantasy chips "real Casino chips".
I did not meet Bill or Starr, and would accept and help making a special set up or even a monument to him in the pages of Chip Collecting!! And I am not being sarcastic..he sounds as he was great for collecting.. and we should recognize him in many ways.. but not by accepting his fantasy chips as real casino chips, ..... that is absurd...
Lincoln and Washington were great guys...but if they created fantasy money would we accept that money as real tender money...of course not.
So...this is taken completely out of content from the original question.
And if the purpose of putting these fantasy collectibles in a catalog is to show they are not real casino chip, although collectibles, and although they carry value AS NON-REAL CASINO CHIP COLLECTIBLES", as real casino chips they have no value...simply because they are not casino chips!!
You cannot say these are not casino chips but as casino chips they are worth $$$... The minute you put a price to a fake chip, or fantasy chip in a CASINO CHIP CATALOG...you are legitimizing these as casino chips.
Do not have a problem putting them in a "collectibles magazine or guide" and putting a price, because that is what they are and what they are worth as non-casino chips collectibles...
So, if I start to make fantasy chips...are you going to put them in a casino chip catalog as well?? Or not, because I may not be such a nice guy, or no because I have not contributed enough to the hobby! c'mon guys, there always ways for us to rationalize something and make good out bad,
but... treating fiction as reality just because the author was a great guy...that is really pushing rationalization.. IMO
