I have been using dropbox for years now, in fact I made Shaffer connect a dropbox account and we share a directory. If I want to send him some chip scans all I have to do is to move the file into a shared directory and he can retrieve it. I can also use the space to store a file and pick it up on my iPad or other computer plus provide a link out to people to pick up larger documents.

This is from memory and I might have some of the spellings wrong but most people won't get past GB let alone filling up TB's worth of data. I've done some estimates for larger customers and even their disk space usage just barely got in the PB stage. I found a note on a site, so we have a while.

"(interesting fact: 2 Petabytes would store the entire contents of ALL US academic libraries)."
