I had to re-install my programs when I downloaded Windows 10.
Whenever I ran into a problem I Googled the problem and usually got an answer.

I had Collector's Assistant (about 10 years old) running on Windows XP, then Windows 7 and now Windows 10.
Adobe CS2 was on Windows 7 and now running in Windows 10.

I would try Googling your question (with a specific program) and search for an answer.
