That is great to know, that the $1

still has some real purpose...... like I said some specific games sometimes require specific denomination...

Again, the $1 is still a basic part of the "5 unit" and if not for inflation would be a VERY important chip, like it used to be in the past.. Just that inflation has made it become almost obsolete from a gaming standpoint.

Most countries do not make snappers ($2.5) anymore and many no longer use the $1. The $1 chip costs as much as any other but they have to make many more $1 chips than any other and they have much shorter life span because they are also used more. In poorer countries and small casinos is just not cost effective anymore.

I was very sad when they stopped issuing the $1 in the DR. I love $1 chips.

Question, just curious, would the game of crabs suffer much if the $1 chip was not available?? Mostly thinking about other countries where the $1 has been abolished.
