Your problem is not the computer. You just haven't found the software that you feel comfortable with for browsing and for your picture library. You could try to find an older computer that has windows 7 and use that. Although you won't get any updates (ended about a year ago) as long as you keep the system clean you'll be fine.

And although you don't like it, you may not have noticed that when I was there last that you had no viruses.
