Just over a year ago I got a mac for the first time. It's a big adjustment. EVERYTHING is backwards! The on/off button is on the opposite side, the scroll button on the mouse rolls in the opposite direction, the X to close a page is on the opposite side...etc. And I probably could have bought 3 windows computers for the price of my mac. All that said...I love my mac! (Oh...and you need a mac "coach", because everything is different...did I mention that it's a big adjustment?).
While you can buy programs that will let you run windows programs on your mac, I don't have them. And I still like Word and Excel better than the mac equivalents of pages and numbers.
Your experience has reinforced one thing for me...our desktop will keep windows 8; it will NOT be upgraded to 10...
I'm not very computer savvy...is there any way to do a "system restore" to put your computer back to a point before you upgraded to win 10...?? Or once you go with 10, are you stuck with it?
Good luck...
