There was a local estate sale near my house today and despite suffering from shingles for the last few weeks I decided to go. It was run by the relatives and not a company so that is always good. And they were in the mood to get rid of things. A lot of the better things they had were way overpriced like a coo-coo clock for $500. But the common items they were giving away (in some cases literally). The first thing I saw when I entered was a Hummel. Price - $10. I know the value of these has fallen off a cliff but I still like them. I looked thru a big pile of silverware and found 3 I liked for a buck. One is sterling and the other two have Hopalong Cassidy on them. In the garage I found a hummingbird feeder and they gave me a full gallon of windshield cleaner, two quarts of oil and a gallon of antifreeze. You can always use that stuff. On the way to the bank for the club later I stopped at a few places and got 3 sealed jars of peanut butter for $2. OK I am nuts But the fun is in the hunt.
