Oh, nooooo! Goin' stark ravin' chip-mad! (But why am I smiling?) When in San Diego yesterday, I discovered I was at Kobey's Swap Meet near Sea World. After convincing the gatekeeper I was a Senior ("Yeah, I voted for Abe Lincoln. And that was for his FIRST term...") he charged me just a dollar and in I went. Unfortunately it was then 2:30 and the meet is over at 3. Vendors were packing it in, while I was RUNNING down the aisles yelling "Casino chips! Chips! Who's got chips?!!" Found exactly one, a light blue Barona $1 "Token" dragon chip. For those who must live by ChipGuide, CG005886. $2 is what the bemused vendor demanded. And that was it. Everyone else shrugged and said, "Come back tomorrow, we'll all be here." Not so easy to make a 280-mile round trip from L. A. to do that.
