You told the buyer the truth. Mistakes happen. You do not need to give away valuable chips because of an error. I think what you did was fine. If the buyer was at all knowledgable, they know the deal was too good to be true. As for the value, I don't think a single sale will drop the price. You can even contact the TCR authors and explain the situation and I'm sure they will take that into account.
So, to sum up, seems OK to me. And yes, you have always bent over backward to be fair whenever I have dealt with you, and you know that's the truth.
