Over the years I have picked up very rare chips and find out that their values are quite diverse.
Most chips are evaluated based on Rarity, but more important in desirability, even though this factor in not included in catalogs. So, I imagine that many very rare chips are simply not very desirable, or have very few collectors interested in them, which makes the price not compatible with its rarity.
I have 3 chips that are R-10 or more?
Not sure of their true "market value" even though some are valued in the catalogs.
Very curious as what the price are and why??
Gateway is an R-10 chip and an arodie.... Price relatively high in both catalogs, have not seen it for sale & have no idea of "market value"
Reno Casino... supposed to be an R-10, but the TCR shows very low price and I did purchase it some time ago relatively cheap. I am assuming that this chip is no longer an R-10 and probably many have been found since Campiglia's last evaluation.. Is that right??
Harvey's Resort Hotel 10cts... apparently quite rare, Campiglia's catalog does not mention it and the TCR shows it quite expensive, but only in "canceled" condition, no price mentioned on un-canceled like this chip..... no idea as to what market value is...any help??
Although this is not an advertisement for sale, I will be selling the Reno on ebay, unless somebody is interested, but probably not the other two, ............for now anyway
Thanks for your help!!!
Enjoy the chips!! BTW, the overstamp in the Harvey's is how they were issued.
