I'm not sure this fully addresses your point, but the WSJ article says:

A spokeswoman for Donald Trump referred an inquiry on the possible casino to his son Eric Trump, who runs the family’s hotel business.

This may simply indicate his son is an employee who runs the hotel, golf course, and winery businesses. If so, it doesn't address the subject of who owns the businesses.
