I lost about $100 on a transaction to South America. After that, I stopped sending to South America.
I lost a couple packages to Italy because buyers were able to get refunds before packages cleared Customs there. After that, I stopped shipping to Italy.
A few months ago a $42 package to Saudi Arabia was claimed missing. After that, I stopped delivering to any country that does not have delivery confirmation/tracking.
My average transaction is under $10. I can't afford to keep financing others' hobbies.
And now I get messages every couple weeks from Canada - "are you sure it costs $8 to mail elongated coins to Canada?" Answer: it does when eBay requires sellers to use tracking lest they lose their Top Seller status and also have to refund any packages that weren't scanned in at the post office.
