The way I see the difference in the two words is in their straight definitions...

ASSOCIATION= An organized body of people who have an interest, activity, or purpose in common; a society.

CLUB= A group of people organized for a common purpose, especially a group that meets regularly:

What do we want out of our organization for the future? When the club started it was exactly that, a small group of people who
united for a common purpose.

Are we beyond that now? Are we headed back that way?
