Archie that link is almost 4 years old. Copper has fallen quite a lot since then, and a copper clad zinc cent currently has less than a half cent metal value (see: http://www.coinflation.com/ ). Even the older pre-'82 95% copper cents have a metal value of only 1.3¢. From that deduct the cost of shipping, refining, etc. and it's not worth hoarding even the older 95% copper cents. Of course metals fluctuate, so that's subject to change at any time. I guess that I've got close to 200 lbs of the older pennies, but I doubt that I'll get rid of them in my lifetime. It'll become the heavy burden of my heirs!
