I ran across this scan of a page of Howdy Herz' auction catalog #25 (1998). Has an old photo and some sequential history of this place that goes back to the 30's. Licensed for gaming in the 1940s and had a 21 table at least as early as 1949. Note the number of different names and owners the place had in the 50s!
I think the Club library has most of Howdy's auction catalogs in case someone wants more info about the nite club or how this auction came out.
The chip offered in the auction was a red ZIGZAG mold piece.
By the way, the reason I took notice of this is I was uploading a matchcover from the Red Rooster in Butte Montana to The Chip Guide and this 15 year old scan of the Las Vegas RR showed up in the alphabetical sort of my hobby scans.
