There is a hotel in Bangor, ME called The Charles Inn and is in the historical district and minutes from Maine Discovery Museum and Bangor Opera House. This hotel is within close proximity of University of Maine Museum of Art and Bangor Museum and Center for History. It's a very old hotel, but no information on gambling but was built in 1873. Can't find any other reference to The Charles Inn on the internet.
