Research is fun. I like to have a little history with the chips. Names places and addresses. I have at least 30 different projects in the works. I might get lucky with 5 ID's out of them. A lot of reading in circles and dead ends. Sometimes there is just no link between some one and the chips attributed to there name. Other times you find history on someone, but not anything for the years you are looking for. It can get frustrating at times but well worth the effort. It's all about helping out the hobby.
I have 1 place local to me that I've been looking into for 3 years. I have enough to do a write up, but I know there is more info out there. While researching this place I stubbled upon 4 other local (to me) clubs with gambling.
