Electronic Chip Rack

Here's my problem: I use The Chip Rack (TCR) to record my collection. While I own TCR #1 through #8, I'm still using #6 because the process of transcribing is very long, tedious, and error prone. My TCR is losing pages because of yanking the heavy book in and out of my briefcase at chip shows. Finally I live in fear of losing the book and having to reconstruct the data. The advantages of an electronic format are many and I won't list them here. I'm also lazy. Current chip software requires that you "create" each chip (enter casino, denomination, color, inserts, etc.)What I would like to do is enter the TCR number (or highlight a chip using my on-screen TCR.) I spoke to one (or two?) of the TCR authors and I think they would be amenable to the idea. Their main concerns were the time involved and the risk of rampant piracy. I went to the guy at the convention who was hawking collecting software (Checkmate?)and told him that I wouldn't buy his software but if it came pre-loaded with TCR data then I would pay for both the software and the data. I also suggested that they not include TCR's price info. This would make it more a catalog product and (hopefully)less appealing to copy. I told him that if he would approach the TCR authors and deal with their concerns that perhaps a deal could be done. He seemed interested and said he'd follow up. Sorry for the long post but I was wondering whether other Nevada collectors would be interested in such a product. Thanks.
