Actually, Jay, I DO keep a tie in my glovebox!!! It occasionally comes in handy when I'm sent on a rush filing to Court and have to go into the courtroom where a Judge is presiding to speak to the Clerk. California generally is pretty casual about courtroom dress. In New York: no tie, no entry into the courtroom, no exceptions!

The lady I was looking for, with an address in the penthouse of the swanky building, probably no longer lived there when I went looking. Eventually I tracked her down to a mailbox in a postal box service in Diamond Bar and left the legal papers there for her.
