Back from Las Vegas - Chip Redemption

Back from 3 days in Las Vegas, trying to track down all those Boyd 40th Anniversary chips ("These are not the Boyds we are looking for!")

Silver Saddle appears to be closed - was that previously reported by someone?

I was surprised when I went to the Cromwell to redeem some chips and dropped a couple of Flamingo chips from my pocket onto the cage counter by mistake. The lady agreed to take them, along with any other Strip chips I might have. Same thing happened at SLS, where they took back a Westgate and Treasure Island. Has this been the custom on the Strip? The cashiers seemed so happy to redeem the chips from their competitors that I wondered - do the casinos buying back such chips get some sort of monetary incentive to participate in such a program? Say, charge the Flamingo a 10% handling fee for the service?

Surprised to learn that on weekdays, breakfast is not offered in many casino buffets, the chow line opens for lunch at 11 AM. I finally had breakfast on my way out of town this morning at South Point. They gladly took my money but told me that the food is removed at 10:45 AM, which gave me 15 minutes to grab all I could. (Remember that TV show, "Supermarket Sweep"? - sort of like that but done with eggs and pancakes.) Urrrrppp! Gives the "hospitality" business a whole new spin. And my stomach is still spinning.

I taught the cockroaches at Arizona Charlie's to play the rhumba, so when all of you arrive for the Casinorama event, you will have some decent evening entertainment. rofl
